Everyone is very excited to help bring our Lord to all of those in need. If you know of someone that would like the Holy Eucharist brought to them at home, in a nursing home, or in a hospital, please call the San Ysidro Parish Office at (505) 898-1779.
Please provide sufficient information to help us schedule visitations including the following: Name, address and telephone number of the parishioner in need of visitation;
Name, address and telephone number of a representative if the parishioner cannot schedule visits themselves.
San Ysidro Parish maintains a record of parishioners in need of visitations. We assign an appropriate home visitor and establish a visitation schedule with the dates and times requested by the parishioner. Visits typically follow the availability of the extra-ordinary minister, often following Sunday or daily Mass schedules
We will coordinate with you and have one of our commissioned homebound ministers visit and bring the Holy Eucharist to those in need.

The San Ysidro Council of the Knights of Columbus (Council 14999) was founded in 2010 and has faithfully served the Parish and parishioners of San Ysidro since then. This fraternity of Catholic men strives to support the spiritual and material needs of the Parish community through charitable and faith-filled works. The Knights feed the poor and homeless by giving time and money to St. Felix Pantry and the Good Shepard Center.
There is much good and necessary work to be done in our Parish, and we invite Catholic men of the Parish to become members and contribute time and talent to address these needs. You can become a member by applying on-line at: www.KofC.org. Select "Join" at the top of the page. If you apply by December 31, 2020, you will have free membership for one year. For questions, please call Grand Knight Valentin Varela at: (505) 270-8796.

The Legion of Mary
Our Lady of Lourdes Praesidium
We have two type of members, Active and Auxiliary. The active members participate in a weekly meeting on Mondays at 6:30pm in Hendren Hall. Our auxiliary members, support the Active members though daily prayer.
The object of the Legion of Mary is the glory of God through the holiness of its members developed by prayer and active co-operation in Mary’s and the Church’s work.
The Legion sees as its priority the spiritual and social welfare of each individual. The active members participate in the life of the parish through visitation of families, the sick, both in their homes and in hospitals and through collaboration in every apostolic and missionary undertaking sponsored by the parish.
The Legion of Mary is a lay apostolic association of Catholics who, with the sanction of the Church and under the powerful leadership of Mary Immaculate, Mediatrix of All Graces, serve the Church and their neighbor on a voluntary basis.
The Legion draws inspiration from the True Devotion to Mary, as taught by St. Louis Marie de Montfort, and which had a profound influence on the Founder of the Legion, the Servant of God Frank Duff.

The San Ysidro Conference of the St. Vincent de Paul Society meets on the second Thursday of the month at 7:30 p.m. in Hendren Hall. In addition, a spiritual meeting is held on the fourth Thursday starting with 7:30 a.m. Mass followed by breakfast. (During these pandemic months the meetings are virtual.)
Parishioners’ financial donations make SVdP’s work possible. The conference’s monthly collection on the first Sunday is used to help those in need — with assistance for items such as utilities, rent and food — within the Corrales community. SVdP also relies on the generosity of parishioners in sponsoring a special food collection at Christmas.
Parishioners who would like to receive information and/or to join the San Ysidro Conference of St. Vincent de Paul are asked to contact Tim Coder at (505) 681-4253.

Classes to being in August 2023
Catholic Code of Canon Law requires sound preparation in the aspects of the Vocation of Marriage for all Catholics seeking to be married in the Catholic Church. For marriage at the San Ysidro Catholic Parish this requirement starts at least 6 months prior to the proposed wedding date. All couples should call the Parish office and make an introductory appointment with the Pastor. Call the Parish Office at: (505) 898-1779.
At this meeting with the Parish Pastor it will be determined if the proposed wedding date and time are available at the church. To initiate the Marriage File, the bride and groom together with the Pastor complete individual interview packages. The couple also provide copies of certificates of completed Sacraments (Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation) for the Marriage File.
Marriage Preparation (Precana) required by Canon Law can be accomplished in several different ways. The Archdiocese of Santa Fe provides two programs at various times of the year; there is a cost for each of these programs. They are the Weekends for the Engaged and Evenings for the Engaged. Both of these programs utilize experienced couples providing the important Vocation aspects according to the Catholic faith. They also provide great opportunities for couples to interact together to discuss these concepts of marriage with the presenters and amongst themselves. At the conclusion of the Evenings or the Weekend a Certificate of Completion is provided to the couple for the Marriage file. Information about timing, content and cost of these classes provided by the Archdiocese of Santa Fe can be located at: familylifenm.org
In addition to these two programs, San Ysidro Catholic Parish provides Precana classes on an individual basis in the event that the couple cannot attend either of the Archdiocese Programs due to work or other constraints, for example if one member of the couple lives out of town and can only be available when they come to this area. Other couples may not feel comfortable sharing in large groups. They include 5 to 6 classes, depending on the status of the individual couple’s spiritual journey. Each class is about 2 hours in length. The classes are conducted at the Parish Office. A letter to the file regarding the couple’s participation and completion of the classes is provided to the Marriage file.
Regardless of which of these paths taken to complete the Marriage Preparation/Precanarequirements best suits you as a couple, the journey starts with a call to the Parish Office: (505) 898-1779.
